The opening date for a new Thai restaurant in West Bridgford has been revealed as renovations come to an end.
The popular Giggling Squid chain will bring a new palette of flavors to the area around Central Avenue in West Bridgford.
The restaurant – which already has locations in London, Leicester, Bristol and many other UK cities – will open in the city of Nottinghamshire on August 16, 2021.
The restaurant is inspired by traditional Thai dishes with exotic ingredients from all over Thailand cooked by expert chefs.

Giggling Squid Co-Founder Andy Laurillard said, âThai meals are energetic, informal, adventurous, and where the food is celebrated.
âIt’s relaxed and there is no ceremony. We just want people to have a good time around something tasty.
âEach Giggling Squid has its own personal touch, and this restaurant is no different; it’s a beautifully designed space that we hope will bring great enjoyment to our customers. We look forward to welcoming everyone. . ”
Vibrant dishes include Jicama salad and soft-shell plum shrimp.
Rooted in the ‘Land of Smiles’ and reflected in its name and nature, Giggling Squid’s ethics center on making customers leave their restaurant with a feeling of fullness.
Speaking to the community after the lockdown, Giggling Squid guests will still receive the same food, service and atmosphere while action is taken by staff to ensure health and safety
Giggling Squid is scheduled to open next month and will be at Bridgford Rd, West Bridgford, NG2 6AP.
Opening hours: Monday to Thursday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
A take-out menu will also be available in click & collect on the Giggling Squid site, as well as telephone orders for delivery.
