The T20I series between Thailand and Zimbabwe and the ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers in Europe have caused a significant movement in the ranking of MRF Tires ICC T20I women players after the last update.
Vital contributions with the ball and bat in the series against Zimbabwe have helped Thailand’s Nattaya Boochatham achieve career-best position in the batting, bowlers and versatile rankings.
Boochatham was instrumental in Thailand’s 2-1 victory over Zimbabwe, claiming the Player of the Match title in both of their victories. With two three-fors and one four-fors, she was the biggest box-taker in the series. She also did practical runs in Thailand’s two wins, finishing the series with 44 runs.
Boochatham’s performances have propelled her to the top career ranking for hitters (46), bowlers (16) and all-rounders (11).
Among the other Thai players, Natthakan Chantham’s 88 * in the second T20I helped her outpace England’s Tammy Beaumont and Scotland’s Sarah Bryce in the top 20 batting. Four wickets for Suleeporn Laomi saw her jump seven spots and enter the top 25 bowlers.
In the recently concluded ICC T20 World Cup European qualifiers, Katherine Fraser was instrumental in sweeping Scotland away which saw him win four out of four games. Scaling six wickets at a stingy saving rate of less than 3, Fraser jumped 15 spots to sit 41st in the T20I bowlers rankings.
