Thai Express Kitchen offers Edinburgh foodies a relaxed dining and licensed bar, centered around an open kitchen, with expert wok chefs preparing to order and using fresh, seasonal produce.
Edinburgh Restaurant features Scotland’s first example of two-story restaurant seating – inspired by a popular setup across South East Asia.
Also offering take-out, it serves a selection of traditional Thai and custom dishes, including pad Thai, papaya salad, and its popular Thairatcha wings – with customers able to customize dishes to their preferred spice level.
The launch is an exciting time for Uzma and Sachin Pattani, who introduced the ‘Thai Express’ brand to 300 UK outlets in 2012.
As the first Thai Express ‘kitchen’, Edinburgh will be the eighth and largest establishment, with the dining room being a much more important element. The St James Quarter restaurant joins similar bustling places including Croydon, Wembley and Birmingham.
The opening marks the moment when Sachin, 42, who has overseen the site’s £ 500,000 transformation, hands over operations to his team of 35 who will oversee the day-to-day running of the site.
He said: âOur launch events could not have been more successful and we are delighted to have started serving our world famous Thai cuisine to the Edinburgh public.
âAs our very first ‘Kitchen’, a lot of care and hard work went behind the scenes to make it our most creative and expansive place to date.
âWe are extremely proud of the business we have developed in the UK so far and look forward to offering our Scottish customers delicious Thai flavors in a special setting which we hope will get people talking. people. “
The restaurant, located in the £ 1 billion Leith Street Eats area of ââSt James Quarter, will have 100 seats
