ONE of the best ways to understand a culture is through its food.

With its mission to bring cultures and peoples together, Asia Society Philippines is bringing back another part of its Eyes on Asia series focused on Southeast Asian cuisine, the “SEA Digital Food Crawl”, this November 5th.

SEA Digital Food Crawl is a three-part series that highlights the diversity and richness of Southeast Asian culture by taking its viewers on a journey through the cuisines of different countries. While the conferences are online, the food exploration experience is as real as it gets – the public has the option to purchase the dishes at the conference center, have them delivered right to their doorstep, and participate in the live demonstration and discussion with star chefs and cooks.

In partnership with Manila House, Asia Society Philippines’ SEA Digital Food Crawl explores the history and culture of Thailand through one of the most beloved rice noodle snacks, Pad Thai, an iconic street food in Thailand and a beloved dish around the world.

The Thai episode will feature Manila House Executive Chef Piya Suthasiri, who is from Thailand and boasts over 20 years of working at various resorts around the world, helping to bring the delicacies of Thai dishes to various countries. such as Tom Yum Goong, Crispy Catfish and Sour Mango Salad, Phad Thai and Mango and Sticky Rice.
