9,810 new cases of Covid, 66 additional deaths

There have been 9,810 new cases of Covid-19 and 66 additional deaths recorded in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health announced on Friday morning.

The number of new cases rose from the 9,727 announced on Thursday, when the country recorded 73 more deaths.

On Thursday, 10,513 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.

Since April 1, the date of the start of the third wave of Covid-19, Thailand has treated 1,802,526 Covid-19 patients, of which 1,683,021 have recovered to date.

Since the start of the pandemic early last year, there have been 1,831,389 cases of Covid-19, with 1,710,447 complete recoveries to date.

The death toll stood at 18,531 in the third wave and 18,625 since the start of the pandemic.
