There have been 9,445 new cases of Covid-19 and 84 additional deaths recorded in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health announced Tuesday morning.
There were 9,244 cases in the general population and 201 among inmates.
The number of new cases fell from the 10,035 announced on Monday, when the country recorded 60 more deaths.
On Monday, 11,452 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.
Since April 1, the date of the start of the third wave of Covid-19, Thailand has treated 1,701,501 Covid-19 patients, of which 1,576,929 have recovered to date.
Since the start of the pandemic early last year, there have been 1,730,364 cases of Covid-19, with 1,604,355 complete recoveries to date.
The death toll stood at 17,741 in the third wave and 17,835 since the start of the pandemic.
