Thailand has recorded 10,288 new cases of Covid-19 and 101 more deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health said Monday morning.
There were 10,161 cases in the general population and 127 among inmates.
New cases rose from 12,353 new Covid cases announced on Sunday when the country recorded 125 more deaths.
On Sunday, 12,494 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.
Since April 1, the date of the start of the third wave of Covid-19, Thailand has treated 1,543,063 Covid-19 patients, of which 1,407,975 have recovered to date.
Since the start of the pandemic early last year, there have been 1,571,926 cases of Covid-19, with 1,435,401 full recoveries to date.
The death toll stood at 16,275 in the third wave and 16,369 since the start of the pandemic.
The record 24-hour Covid-19 death toll in the kingdom was 312 on August 18. The highest number of cases was 23,418 on August 13.
